Still pretty new. When they say “firm,” they’re not kidding!!Perfect for our college student. Description was very accurate.I am very happy with these mattresses. They arrived ahead of original delivery date. Very easy to unpack & they took very little time to expand. They are made in the USA. That was a factor in picking these mattresses.I chose the firm one thinking it's going to give me that nice back support. oh, baby! I was sinking, no support as for my husband he moved to the couch and I join from time to time. I contact the seller they never contacted me back so think really hard before buying this if u have back problems and need support this is not it.I bought this mattress cause the firmness description said firm. It even says firm-firm and it’s definitely not firm. When it arrived I let it air out for 2 days and once I laid in it, I sank into the mattress. When me and my husband lay down we both sink in and automatically get rolled into the middle. I have a bad back so I need a firm mattress. If you need firm then this isn’t the mattress for you.I love a firm mattress. I ordered this because the description said firm firm. It came in a small box. We opened it and allowed it to fluff for 72 hours. It never got firm.The smell...definitely follow the recommendation to air out the mattress in a ventilated area and let it decompress for 24 hours. Ordered 2 of these 10 inch twin size mattresses, one for my 18 month old daughter and one for my 4 year old son. They are very nice and perfect for a platform bed (no box spring). Taking off a star for price. I think they are a bit overpriced.While this one is a little pricier than some similar items, it has done a fantastic job of justifying that price be holding up incredibly well. We have a special needs adult son who is fairly hard on furniture and particular about what he uses. This thick twin mattress has done amazingly well on both counts. Even when he lands a little harder than we would prefer, it bounces right back into its full height and shape, and it fits his bedframe perfectly. It accommodates a waterproof pad without any lumps or problems, and it is quite comfortable. He has actually been sleeping significantly longer without waking up since using it - which gets a huge seal of approval from us and him!It arrived quickly, safely packaged, and as compact as something this size can be. When opened from its packaging, it puffed up into its full shape and form very quickly. There was no damage at all, it had a nice light and clean scent with no noticeable odors, and it is sturdy and well made. We have been extremely happy with its performance and durability. (It is used on a platform/slat frame with no box spring.)
