So comfortable, and I weigh over 200 lbs, and supports me fine! I can't even feel the springs underneath me. No smell at all, either...***********BUYER BEWARE*************READ THE FINE PRINT**************I ordered and received 34 mattresses and 15 mattress toppers from Zinus (through Amazon) in September 2020. I am a business owner. I own vacation rental units that I furnish. Out of the 49 Zinus items I purchased ONLY 20% were in good enough condition to be used. Of the 20% that expanded to their original size and look good they are horribly firm and uncomfortable.PLEASE read all the fine print before purchasing the Zinus mattresses and mattress toppers! On the main purchasing page of Amazon this is the verbiage.• Expertly packaged- Our technology allows this mattress to be efficiently compressed into one box that is easily shipped and maneuvered into the bedroom; simply unbox, unroll and this mattress do the rest, expanding to its original shape within 72 hours.Which I understood it meant “once you open the mattress it takes 72 hours for it to expand to its maximum shape”. That is not the case!!IF you happen to find the teeny tiny little link labeled “Installation Manual” really far down the page it states…“Please remove from packaging within 72 hours of receipt to make sure your mattress can grow to its full potential.”We had many construction delays, and the mattresses did stay boxed up for a couple of months in a storage unit while we waited for the units to be complete. If Zinus would have properly disclosed the mattress requirements better, I would have definitely figured something else out and not left them boxed up. You would think that if it is a matter of 3 days that makes a mattress usable or unusable it would be WELL published.I have spent HOURS on the phone with Amazon who stated they could not do anything, and I needed to contact Zinus. I then have spent countless hours on the phone with Zinus which got me nowhere other than a customer service email. I sent many emails to Zinus customer service since 12/23/2020 with pictures of all mattresses and toppers.They have emailed me back, but each response takes days. They kept escalating the claim up the management ladder. I have requested a replacement for all the defective mattresses. I initially did not want a refund I just wanted mattresses I could use. At one point they told me they would replace them. Then many days later they said they did not have enough in stock to replace them. I find this odd that they do not have at least 11 King size mattresses in stock at any given time.When I told them, I cannot wait for months on end to receive my replacements, since they are for a business and I need to start renting it out, they told me they would send me a “prorated” refund. I am not sure why it would be prorated since I was still within the 100-night trial period. But either way I have received nothing! They told me they would send me a refund and the “refund department” would be getting a hold of me to set it up and I have heard NOTHING. I have emailed them numerous times to each person I dealt with along the way and none of them have responded to me in the last 16 days.So as far as I am concerned Zinus has an 80% terrible product and their customer service wasted my time, and I did not receive reimbursement or replacement for my unusable products. I have purchased replacement mattresses from another company since I cannot wait any longer.I definitely DO NOT recommend Zinus or any of their products and I will never purchase from them again. I will be getting the word out as well to the many other rental owners I network with and letting them know of my experience. The pictures I have included are the mattresses and mattress toppers that had been unboxed for 3-4 weeks. That is all they expanded.I bought this mattress topper for my stateroom bed onboard a large navy ship. The topper was about 2-3 inches short of covering the entire mattress lengthwise but filled the entire slot widthwise which is more important. Comfort was excellent - a little softer and sank in a little more than I expected but honestly that led to sounder sleep despite some very loud activities going on at all times of the day. With this topper I probably slept more soundly than I did at home on my $3000 memory foam mattress.I did use it for a few nights without a mattress sleeping on a carpeted floor, because it's so soft you definitely feel the floor, so I wouldn't recommend it as a standalone - but it's not designed for that.With that said, there's a small tear (about 3 inches) where I folded it to take it off the ship, so I'm not sure it's really appropriate to be moved multiple times. and I'm not sure how long it will last. But for what I bought it for, it served its purpose well.In-laws slept comfortable!2 inches = too soft, such that I sink into it and it sags. I think 1 inch or 1.5 at most would have provided the cushion I was looking for without it being too soft. Also, the optional mattress protector is a waste of money. The foam topper doesn’t sit right on my mattress while inside the cover, and it bunches up a lot if you sit up in bed. The foam needs to touch the mattress instead of sliding around inside the cover.This is the first and hopefully last time I give a disappointing/negative review about my amazon order.Never have I been disappointed with amazon, always completely satisfied with my orders. The price before Christmas was $88.00. Heard great things about mattress toppers. Cheaper than buying a new mattress.When I received the mattress topper I opened it the same day. Unrolled it and left it out for 2 days, it did smell. As the description said it would. Day 3, I put it on my bed, clean sheets and comforter. The smell was still strong, didn't smell right, thought it would go away. Then I realized why/what it smelled like, Urine.It smelled of URINE. It was disgusting. I don't know if it was human or animal. But, wow, it was bad.I couldn't be bothered to package it up and return it. I tossed it out. (That was the week garbage was picking up, and I wanted it gone)Very, very disappointed.ChafisisimaI agree with the other customers who stated this seemed more like pure foam rather than gel foam so because of that I deducted 1 star as I feel it's a tad bit pricey. I also woke up covered in sweat so make sure you don't have the temp. Too high or too many blankets as it retains geat very well. I received this product in great condition, very fast delivery, and I had a very comfortable sleep. I definitely recommend!Sólo con la sábana sí se siente más caliente la cama, pero yo lo uso con un protector de colchón afelpado y dos sábanas de algodón 100% de muchos hilos y así si se siente fresco. Es como dormir en una nube, no creo que sea memory foam por que no mantiene la forma de la mano cuando lo presionas, pero para mi eso es lo de menos, está super cómodo. Es más pequeño que mi colchón matrimonial, sobre todo de lo largo, queda como 8 cm más pequeño, pero lo acomodo para que ese espacio quede debajo de las almohadas y ni se nota. Otra desventaja que le veo es que para mí es más difícil levantarme por las mañanas, quiero pasar más tiempo en mi cama suavecita:)My husband and I considered buying a new mattress due to back pain but really didn't want to spend that much $ so we opted for this gel memory foam mattress instead. We have been using it now for 2 weeks and we've found that we have little to no back pain anymore. Also after reading other people's post about the intial smell being somewhat overpowering, we let ours air out for about 2hrs and never really noticed anything. Very pleased with this product!
