As a 5'5 woman who worked as a firefighter for 15 years, it's a gross understatement to say my body has taken a beating. In my 40s, I've developed arthritis in my back and hips and gaining 40 pounds after having kids didn't help. I've slept like poop for so long, I can't remember having a good night's sleep or even waking up without being in a decent amount of pain. We bought our sleep number bed 11 years ago and never really got good sleep on it. My 260# 6'5 husband had no issues but lately he's been waking up with back pain, too. Sleep number told us we needed new foam and it would be $300 to replace it. PLUS the air chambers leaked. I'm done throwing money at that company. They prorate repairs, so a lifetime warranty really isn't.I read the reviews on this mattress and was scared to hope. Especially the reviews by people over 200lbs who gave me hope my husband would get good relief, too.No real off gassing to complain about. First night sleep was magic. I woke up in the exact position I fell asleep in. Didn't toss and turn hourly like beforeI've had 4 nights of pretty close to perfect sleep on this inexpensive beauty. Not a bit of hip pain, when I'm scheduled to get an MRI next week.... pressure points are cradled, not pinpointed with this mattress. So freaking happy. Hubby is like meh about it, but I haven't heard him moaning and groaning in the morning about his back for 4 days, so YAY. Sleep number mattress is in the garage awaiting garbage day. Woot!I have had this mattress for about a few years now. It’s still holding up, I’ve gotten so use to the comfort of it, that when I go on vacation, I actually miss it.I get really bad back ache, and with this mattress, I’ve been sleeping like a baby. When I don’t sleep in it, I feel the difference. Maybe I’m getting old, idk but this won’t disappoint.I keep the mattress protector on it, and wash it periodically so body soils don’t seep through into the foam over time and ruin it.Este articulo superó mis expectativas no me deja subir foto pero es excelente. Empezando conque la entrega era de 3 días y llego en menos de 24 horas. Eso ya me sorprendió. Cuando llego era una caja gigante eso también me gustó el articulo llego perfecto en cuanto lo abrí comenzó a tomar su forma estaba perfecto antes de las 24 horas pero las instrucciones decían dejar reposar por 24 a 72 horas . Solo la dejé 48 horas y mi colchon creció las 12 pulgadas que decía. Y es super cómodo y estoy durmiendo perfectamente . Así que para mi es 5 estrellas . Y mira que busque y compare colchones pero con éste no me equivoqué.So I bought this mattress 2021 I can say that this mattress for me is horrible. I like to give some time to actually rate a mattress and I must say my back hurts every time I wake up. It started like 3 months into the mattress. I decided to give my son the opportunity to try it and he states his back hurts and I did not mention it. My bf as well he says that when he sleeps over not so often and he on that mattress his back hurts. So I have three reviews of two different age groups including myself! This is not a good mattress to firm and puts strain on your lower back to your top!I won’t lie, I was Leary of buying this mattress due to its affordability. I couldn’t help but think “one gets what one pays for, so this thing will likely be rubbish”. It’s definitely not. Easy setup, so very comfortable, and I have not a single complaint. If you’re thinking and going round about with the situation just do it! You won’t regret it.To clear up a lot of confusion with this mattress, here is an Honest to God review....Summary:- Mattress was easy to assemble (cut package and roll/air out)- Smell was not that bad... It's expected, so have a fan ready and air it out.- Firm version of memory foam (Perfect for bigger guys like me) But I have a hunch it breaks in over time.- Quality seemed very nice.I just received this mattress yesterday ( 8/5/2015 ). The packaging was as expected, the Cardboard box was in rough shape but the heavy duty plastic on the inside was untouched. I'm a 6'2" 230lb athletic man that spends most of my free time in the gym, so getting the package onto my bed frame by myself was no problem at all. To a regular or smaller person, you might need an extra hand carrying the 90+lb package.Upon opening, I cut the plastic and everything went as expected. The mattress inflated itself within 30 minutes with the corners lagging behind (I just hit the corners with my hand to fluff them up and help them catch up) . I let it sit for 24 hours before laying on it. The smell is strong, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Looking at the other reviews, some of these people must have had a bad mattress, or simply can't take a little odor for a few days (they might be sensitive).Here's the biggest point... The mattress is a very firm version of memory foam. Right out of the box the mattress doesn't give in as much as you may think. It's perfect for someone like me because, like I've said, I'm 230 lbs and athletic. This thing offers the perfect support for me, giving in to my heavy points and supporting my lighter areas yet I can see somebody who's much lighter having issues. I say to those people, give the mattress time to break in. I'll update this in a few months with a follow up.Tonight will be the first night I sleep on it, and I couldn't be more excited. The 10 minutes I spend laying on it this morning almost made me fall right asleep again. I'll keep this post updated because there seems to be a lot of confusion on this mattress.* Off topic *The first one I ordered got mixed up in the mail due to the carrier, therefor I got my mattress 3 days late. Amazon's customer service was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better crew to solve the problem.** UPDATE (08/07/2015) **- Last night was the first night that I slept on the mattress and I can honestly say I had a great night sleep. I didn't wake up in the middle of the night at all. I was cool all night (Granted I had a 17" box fan blowing directly over me) and the only time I got hot was when my lady friend came over earlier. I'm usually a very hot sleeper and people who complain about the heat of this thing should invest in a fan. Even without the fan it was very cool at first, but it did start warming up slightly after 30 minutes or so of laying in the same spot - but it wasn't that bad.I can say that I'm very pleased with my first night on this thing.*** UPDATE 08/24/2015Sleeping on this thing has been a pleasure. It's not revolutionizing, but it's much more comfortable than my last mattress. The smell is pretty much gone although it did take awhile. The smell was honestly not that bad and the only way you could really smell it was if you stuck your nose in the mattress. I don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore from tossing and turning. That's a huge plus for me because on my old mattress It felt like I had a cycle of waking up at 3 or 4am from tossing and turning. The mattress is still very firm, but like I said before, it's perfect for me because I'm big and heavy enough to actually sink in a bit.I bought 2 queen size for my 12 yr and 18 yr old daughters. They love them! They said they are very comfortable. They were fully inflated within 12 hrs, but they didn't lay on them until close to 24 hrs. Will definitely purchase again. As a matter of fact, my King size is coming on Tuesday!!!!We bought this mattress based on my daughter’s recommendation. She loves hers. My husband’s back pain is gone since sleeping on it. We’ve only had it a couple of months. I hope it holds up and we can continue to sleep well. It’s also a great price. I recommend this mattress.I purchased the queen size of this mattress in October 2017. This is false advertising, This mattress by Classic Brands is not a 12 inch mattress nor is is certipur as advertised.The bottom layer is not 6.5 inches as advertised, it is 5.5 inches. The so-called high quality memory foam is 2.5 inches thick, partially glued to a layer of cheap yellow foam which in turn is glued to the bottom layer. When advertised as a 12 inch mattress the layers should be quality and not cheap foam which becomes hard over time. The mattress has become harder over the few months I have had it. I will be photographing this product and complain to both Classic Brands and to Certipur. Do not be fooled by the advertising of this product.I got 3 twin XL mattresses. 1 of them was excellent; it fully expanded to a good looking rectangular shape as expected, and the "medium firm" comfort level was spot on, as I had anticipated from other reviews describing the firmness and feel. Unfortunately the other 2 were different, and leads me to believe that there is an updated version on this mattress (at least in the twin XL size). The 2 'defective' mattresses didn't expand to a perfect rectangular shape; they did not have enough material to form a good rectangular shape at the top of the mattress- the top layer was obviously about 0.5 inches short on the edges. There is more base layer than top layer. These 2 were also noticeably softer than the good one, and the 2 had a noticeably different shade of gray on the fabric cover, and remained in a constant state of scrunched-up-look. When I put sheets on the 2 defective mattresses, they would sag and scrunch at the top because of the shortfall in material. The mattress that was up to standard, was really good though, and I'm glad I got my hands on it. Sorry pic isn't great.Classic Brands Cool Gel Memory Foam Mattress, Full, 12-Inch03/18/18 update I just want to update now that we are going on almost a year of owning this bed. The mattress is even more comfortable now! I highly recommend this bed! Almost a year with no creeks or cracks when waking and my body is super aligned! I spent one week away, slept on a pillowtop and every bone was stiff!I cannot say enough good about this bed!Original review I LOVE MY BED! we had some issues ordering a different bed from amazon and ended up ordering this instead. I hadn't done any research on this brand or bed prior to it arriving, partially because I was really busy and because I had my heart set on the other one... I'm sooooo glad that we ended up getting this bed!!! when it arrived UPS had torn through the plastic so it was expanding in the box, I think that had a bit to do with the fact that the bed expanded to full size in 30 minutes. It was really heavy so i recommend having more then one person carry it (we got the Cal-King). Some of the reviews I was reading after we got the bed stated that:#1 it didn't expand to full size - This wasn't the case for us at all!!#2 there is a bad smell - I stuck my face right into the mattress to try and smell it.. there was a slight plastic smell.. but it wasn't noticeable unless my face was pressed into the mattress.#3 the bed is poorly manufactured - this isn't the case at all, our bed is beautiful and the fabric on the sides doesn't compress the foam on the sides.. we measure 12" on all 4 and there is no pulling of the cover anywhere.. if anything the cover is a little bit big for the foam!The cool gel works wonderful! this isn't a cooling gel so you wont lay on a cold bed in the summer time.. but when its 30+ outside at night and you go to sleep the bed doesn't get hotter!!I find the bed a bit firm.. I thought that would be a problem as I like to sleep on soft beds.. but the bed is perfect! We both wake up with no pressure or pain in our bodies. He has back problems and our old bed made them worse, this one he wakes up and is ready to go with no pain at all. I am also a light sleeper and he can get in and out of bed all night long with out waking me as the motion transfer is almost non existent.I love my classic brands mattress and in the future when we need a new bed we will be buying from these guys again!!!Before trying this mattress, we tried a Douglas, Endy, Leesa, and Casper, all of which are at least double to almost triple the price. In our opinion, this mattress is just as good as the best one we tried out of the other "name brands". We have only had it for a couple of weeks but so far it has been good for us. I let it air out and expand for a day and a half. The corners seem to be heavily compressed during packaging and didn't completely decompress but it's not that noticeable, and we don't sleep on the corners anyway :-) There was a bit of that factory smell in the beginning but it's completely gone now.The mattress is slightly on the firm side, so in case you are looking for a soft mattress, this is probably not for you. But it is what we were looking for in a mattress so is perfect for us.
