The directions say the connecting point for the side railing (W) to the head board (A) is supposed to be closer to the bed side. Once I finished the assembly, I had about 4 inches vacant space at the foot of my bed. I confirmed my mattress size. So I swapped the head boards posts and the mattress fit perfectly, however, there was no overhang from the posts. So I’m not sure if it’s a design/engineering flaw, but someone should check this.I will give 4 possibly 5 stars with proof of correction to this issueP.S: The middle side leg is the Killer of Men, Eater of Souls. Nothing you can really do about it, keeps it sturdy. Im actually going to add a star because I feel like this small inconvenience keeps me nimble. I’ve had this bed 7 months now and it has held up nicely.UPDATE:The bed did not last long. It was for a spare bedroom and made it through a week with company so I thought it would be okay, but my son recently sat on the bed and it immediately broke. The center legs on either side of the side-rail broke into two pieces causing the bed to collapse. The material that those legs were made from was exposed and it is some kind of particle substance- almost like a heavy cardboard particle, although I’m no expert on types of particle board so I’m not sure. Anyway, I can’t recommend the bed since it broke after not even being exposed to normal wear and tear. I have to replace it with a new bed, but I will try to use the headboard at least. I have attached additional photos to try to show where the bed broke.Original review:Pros: very easy to assemble with very easy instructions. I did it by myself in about an hour.It looks very nice when put together. Seems reasonably sturdy. It shipped and arrived very fast. Also, it shipped in one box. The box was heavy but I opened mine outside and carried it in in pieces.Cons: the side panels are in two pieces each instead of one long board. They screw securely to a center foot but, to me, it seems this would be weaker than one board ( but I don’t really know for sure if it’s weaker).. Also, it creates a seam in the panel after assembly that would be visible if you were to tuck covers in. The feet at the foot of the bed are plastic, not wood. The headboard looks like particle board under the upholstery, which is fine, but I can’t tell if the side panels are the same material. The slats seem a little strange. They look like one solid piece of wood each but they also have some kind of odd seams One of mine chipped a little like part of it peeled off, when I was putting them in. Almost like plywood. I’m not sure if that’s normal or not.I tried to add photos that would show some of what I am describing.Overall: for the price the bed seems pretty nice-it’s for a guest bedroom so won’t get a lot of wear and tear. It looks beautiful. The ease of assembly was great. I am happy with my purchase just not sure if it’s as sturdy as I would like.Overall this is a nice bedframe. It’s relatively easy to assemble. It looks very nice. Height off the floor is sufficient. The only downside really is that like a lot of frames in this price range, for some reason it runs big. It’s a little bit long (about 2”) and a little wide (1-1.5”). I wish it fit a little better. Otherwise, I have no complaints.Great bed but the color is not a dark grey it’s definitely a blue Grey almost a navy. Not what is pictured. We kept it ultimately but I wish it was like the one in the photo. The frame was also a little long for our queen but it is extremely sturdy. One button was loose but fixable.This product is an amazing value, the assembly is very easy and straight forward, but the bed frame is very sturdy and elegant. The backboard adds a very nice touch while giving great support to lean on. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
