My mother has a SOFT mattress and the matress I am replacing is FIRM (so I know what they are like). For me this mattress is MEDIUM. The springs are somewhat felt already, so this will not bode well in one years time (or less). Maybe can be improved with a mattress topper (but I digress) with the extra cost involved probably not worth it. Doubled Sided (can be flipped) and waterproof vinyl very good, but does not allow body heat to dissipate easily.
