I'd had back pain for months, worst when I woke up. Too broke for a new mattress so I tried this one with my fingers crossed.I hit the jackpot! It was wrapped super tight and was heavy to bring in. But once inside and opened it fluffed up quickly and made it to the full 3 inches within I think 48 hours.My back felt sooo much better the next day and has been good for the couple months since I bought it.Husband thought it would be too fluffy for him, but it wasn't. Pad is quite firm and supports well. Para mi es un buen producto.Recently purchased a brand new hybrid memory foam medium feel mattress only to find it is a torture device for side sleepers with lower back pain. This latex feel firm 2" topper corrected the "no support" hybrid mattress to where I can comfortably get a good nights rest without the excruciating back pain.Although there was a divot about an inch and a half wide, it was maybe half an inch deep. I decided to put that end near our feet. It was not shipped all that compressed, and was full 2" height almost right away. That there was no smell was important to me. It provided the extra support and cushioning our old topper was no longer supplying. It is soft, not firm. (We found memory foam to be a bit hot, and it resists moving around hence the latex alternative choice.) Still runs a bit warm. I use a feather bed topper over it for that pillow feel. 2" of this beats 2" of egg crate foam for support. I will need deeper pocket sheets though.This is a very comfortable mattress pad...it would be perfect but it likes to slide on top of my mattress. If I could get it to stay where I put it, it would be great!Unboxed and 2” within 30 minutes. No odor and fully intact (no tears or discoloration).This is for the guest room so I’m not sure about sleep comfort, but I can feel a definite improvement by just laying in it.I added this on top of the bed that came with my rv- what a difference it made. Acts like a memory foam and conforms to your body and gives great support. Love the fact that when my boyfriend gets up in the middle of the night I don’t notice as it doesn’t move my side of the bed.I used this for my ikea chair. The same one everyone has. The cushion is probably ten years old so any support was long gone. I went with the 3 inch and cut a slab to put underneath. It doesn’t look nice but I was going for maximum comfort. The ideal way to do it is go for the two inch and cut the cushions for each section and stuff them in.The cushion itself is ok I went with the 3 inch to get more of a cushion but it compresses very easily at least by touch. Legs and arms appreciate the additional softness. The topper was not useful previously with a hybrid( pocket-coil and foam), and an inner-springs mattress. This novel can now conclude!UPDATE #1: No real change from original opinion.- When tried on a regular firm spring mattress the result was pretty much the same firm feel, as the topper compressed under both the body-weights tried (150-185lb). No significant softening effect. When the load was concentrated by sitting up in bed the topper really had no effect at all.- On a hybrid foam and pocket-springs mattress, which had a depression after a few years' use, it seemed to improve the feel slightly, if not the actual depression.- Minor offf-gassing odour after a few days, none after a week.THOUGHTS: I wonder if a better bet might be the type of topper that has the firmer foam base-layer under the softer foam top layer? Or not... Overall, I suspect that if you need a new mattress, you need a new mattress.ORIGINAL REVIEW:PROS: As the size in the regular listing was out of stock, I bought this through Amazon warehouse deals at a nice discount. It arrived opened from the original packing, as was stated at purchase, but it was well rolled in two layers of protection and in a suitable box for transit. It was clean and unmarked. The size is correct for the mattress. Odour is present, but it is not as remarkably pungent as some reviewers have noted. There is a recommended 72hrs airing to dissipate.CONS: The product is unexpectedly soft. Very, very soft. Perhaps I am not sufficiently familiar with these toppers, but I expected more density in the material from the item description for what is, essentially, a soft layer of foam which compresses readily to nothing. (I'm happy to ignore the advertised 'cooling' aspect of any of these products - I don't believe in the Tooth Fairy, either...)In fairness, I will let it air out for a few days, try it on a bed, and update this review. Je l’ai installé sur un matelas ferme bon marché sur lequel je dormais très mal et maintenant je ne pense pas qu’un matelas de 2000$ ou plus me donnerait davantage. Prenez le 3 pouces, pour quelques dollars de plus je pense que vous ne voulez pas vous priver et bonne nuit!C’est un nuage de bonheur, on veut plus sortir du lit .Meilleur achat pour prolonger la durée de vie de notre matelas je recommande fortement.Very good foam.
