Does as advertised. Only have 2 issues with it. It was difficult getting the water out completely to dry after a wash. It's not too wet, but you can definitely tell all the water did not get squeezed out during the spin cycle. The mattress cover does not protect the whole bed. I mainly bought this to protect my children's beds, but it defeats the purpose if it doesn't protect the edges of the bed as well since my kids like to sleep on the edge of the bed. Other than that, it is waterproof.This is most definitely not even a little bit water proof at all. It's soft and comfy but does little more than a sheet as far as protection for the bed.I like it! It full cover my CA King-size Mattress, now no worry any liquids and it feel soft.The mattress protector is lighweight. Hopefully it holds up over time. It does have deep pockets, however the elastic is flimsy and does not stay on the mattress very.It was a great purchase!This mattress pad is one of several I got for all the beds in my house. I recently invested in a lot of nice memory foam toppers and mattresses, and I wanted to protect my investment. I also wanted something soft and breathable over the cover that came with the mattress, and beneath my fitted sheet. This mattress pad absolutely fills the bill.It is not as fiber-filled and fluffy as one or two of the other brands, but it makes up for it by having a very deep side pocket all around, so that it fits my widest stack of mattress and memory foam topper combinations. And it is definitely on the high end of being moisture resistant. That gives me peace of mind when my old dog decides to sleep on my bed, or I spill my glass of water off my nightstand…again.Comfortable breathable protection that fits. I like it a lot!I have bamboo sheets, bamboo pillow cases, bamboo towels, and other bamboo things - I am a little partial to bamboo products. What better to match bamboo sheets with than a bamboo mattress pad and waterproof to boot. I included a photo of the mattress pad where I poured some water on the mattress pad from my water bottle. The water beaded up on the mattress pad and never soaked into the material of the bamboo weave. The inside of the mattress pad stayed dry and none of the water went through, not sure of how the waterproofing will withstand the test of time and many cycles in the dryer as I usually wash my sheets once a week.So far the mattress pad is doing well but I can't speak to the longevity of the waterproofing of the pad as I've only had it about a week. If you're like me your sheets and mattress pad you usually use for a few years if they are good quality. The pad feels soft and is fairly quiet, just a little bit more crinkle noise than my old mattress pad, but that mattress pad wasn't waterproof so it was really soft and supple. I thought it would be a good idea to get a waterproof mattress pad before I had an accident on my bed (like spilling a beer or a glass of wine not the other kind of accident). If you wait until you've had an accident than it's too late your mattress will end up having a stain or lingering smell if you've ever spelt a beer on a sofa you know that smell.It's comfortable to sleep on and I haven't had any issues with moisture or sweat as it's cool at night, not like summer time when the nights get warm and sometimes you sweat on the sheets. I'm not able to test or speak to the breathability of the pad whether it gets moist from body sweat during the warm summer months.Seems to work fine. No loose threads or stitches straining. Is comfortable, and has held up to machine washings. Recommended.
